Step 2: Obtain a Custom Email Address from Your Hosting Provider (Websiteistic)

To create a custom email address using your domain, you can rely on your hosting provider, Websiteistic. They will assist you in setting up personalized email addresses tailored to your domain name. Simply contact Websiteistic’s support team or follow their provided instructions to get started with your custom email addresses.

Step 3: Manual Settings Email from Websiteistic

Once you’ve obtained your custom email address from Websiteistic, our dedicated engineer will send you an email containing the necessary manual settings required for the setup. Please keep this email handy, as you’ll need it during the setup process to configure your custom email address.

Step 4: Accessing Gmail Settings

The initial step in configuring your custom email address within Gmail is to log in to your Gmail account. Once logged in, click on the gear icon located at the top right corner of the Gmail interface.

After clicking the gear icon, a menu will appear. From this menu, select “See All Settings.”

This action will lead you to the comprehensive Gmail Settings page. In the subsequent step, navigate to “Accounts and Import” within the settings menu, and then locate the option labeled “Check mail from other accounts.”

Step 4: Configuring Gmail for Your SiteGround Email

Begin by clicking “Add a mail account,” which will trigger a popup. Here, email address you received from Websiteistic’s engineer and click “Next.” In the subsequent step, you’ll encounter two options for importing emails. Opt for “Import emails from my other account (POP3)” and click “Next.” Below, we’ll briefly describe each of the settings:

  • Username: Choose a username for this account, ideally your email address for easy recall.
  • Password: Enter the password you received from Websiteistic’s engineer. 
  • POP Server: Locate the POP server settings in Websiteistic’s Mail Configuration, with the port number set to 995. Additionally, select three more options:
    1. Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server.
    2. Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail.
    3. Label incoming messages.

Finally, click “Add Account,” prompting a success message. You’ll also be asked if you want to send emails using this account; select “Yes” and click “Next.”

Upon clicking “Next,” you’ll be prompted to enter a name. After adding the name, click “Next” to reveal the SMTP server settings. You’ll find these values in the Mail Configuration email sent by Websiteistic’s engineer. Remember to use your email address as the username and enter the same password sent by Websiteistic.

Click “Add Account” to initiate the process. A confirmation code will be sent to your email address. Enter the code in the provided space and click “Verify.”

Congratulations, you’ve successfully verified your email account in Gmail!

After completing this process, you will receive an email confirmation. Below is a screenshot of the email received. You can also send emails from this account using Gmail. To do so, click “Compose,” and in the “From” section, select your preferred email address from the dropdown menu.

The final step involves adding a subject, composing your message, and clicking “Send.”
